Medicaid Forum

A voice, a choice, an everyday life. Living a life filled with meaning, value, friendship, belonging, and love. On may 19th, 2025 Vision for Equality, the PA Waiting List Campaign, and Alvernia University collaborated with Community Connections-Berks, Inc self-advocates, direct support professionals, and families to empower them to share their personal stories and real lives.

Their courageous testimonies were given with heartfelt love and fear. With Medicaid funding life is filled with friends, employment, social activities, transportation, and a home. Life without this funding would be devastating to our loved ones, schools, and community. Openly, each speaker declared how Medicaid- Home and Community based waiver funding is a lifeline of supports and services necessary to living and thriving. Our lives depend on no cuts to Medicaid.
